Underpass beneath a regional road

Jacked reinforced concrete box built without closing the road.

Construction design of an underpass solved with a jacked reinforced concrete box, keeping the road in service throughout the works.

Soil-structure interaction was modelled for both the jacking and the service stages, and the thrust wall and abutment walls were designed.
